LDT works with individual schools to create long-term in-school dance residencies designed to suit the academic needs of the students while incorporating the pedagogical requirements stated by the New Jersey Core Curriculum Standards for Visual and Performing Arts. LDT has adapted a curriculum for 2nd-5th grade written by Young Audiences of New Jersey (originally created via a grant from the Gerladine R. Dodge Foundation) that includes professional development and assessment tools with comprehensive lesson plans. Residencies typically last from 6-weeks to 12-weeks, but can be adapted for shorter periods of time.
