LDT’s Dance and Wellness Studio empowers the community with opportunities to experience the love and joy of movement. Students, regardless of age, race, religion, level, or aspiration, are given the opportunity to discover their passion for dance and wellness in a supportive and professional environment.
The Studio was created with two objectives:
- Promote wellness in the community by offering movement classes that focus on fitness, strength, balance, and flexibility for all ages;
- Establish a dance center to help educate aspiring and professional dancers of all ages by providing dance training and performance opportunities to nurture the human spirit and foster individual creative expression.
Class offerings include all levels of ballet, hip hop, Pilates, body mind conditioning, Zumba, creative dance, tap, a ballet class just for boys, and more! Read descriptions of each of our classes here. Classes are taught by professional dancers, certified dance educators, and New Jersey artists. The Studio offers an optional year-end performance for its students and the LDT Ensemble, a performance group for serious students. The Studio is opened to the general public on the third Friday of most months for Fun Fridays, a free event featuring sneak-peaks of company performances, masterclasses and social networking. LDT also offers bi-annual Wellness Days featuring lectures and workshops with leaders in the field of health and wellness.
Need and merit based scholarships are available.
Our students join us from communities throughout Middlesex County and beyond, including: New Brunswick, Highland Park, Piscataway, Edison, Milltown, East Brunswick, South Plainfield, Plainfield, Bound Brook and Dunellen.
