Monica Gonzalez


Originally from Stockton, NJ, Monica Gonzalez is a performer, choreographer, and video artist. She attended Rutgers University on a full-academic scholarship graduating with a BFA in Dance and a minor in Art History. In fall 2015 she was selected and commissioned by The Outlet Dance Project to choreograph a new work for their annual festival in conversation with an art installation at Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ. Recent performance highlights include performing at NJPAC for the Jersey (New) Moves festival; SHORE: Performance at New York Live Arts with Emily Johnson/catalyst; and The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe at Socrates Sculpture Park with 10HL Projects. Now in her fourth season with Lustig Dance Theatre, Monica has danced the roles of Luna in Luna Mexicana, Chinese and Klarah in A Jazzy Nutcracker, the duet Slow Like Honey from Torch, and Infinitum.
