Kristin Scott was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and began training at the Fort Wayne Ballet at eight years old. She attended Indiana University on scholarship and won leading roles in Don Quixote, La Bayadere, and The Nutcracker among others.
She spent ten years dancing for American Repertory Ballet under the direction of Graham Lustig. Her favorite roles include Lustig’s Cinderella, Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, Infinitum, Six Pianos, Twyla Tharp’s Baker’s Dozen, Octet, Dominique Dumais’ a part between parts, Val Caniparoli’s Lamberena and more.
She has performed in The National Choreographer’s Initiative in Orange County, CA, and Terpsicorps Dance Theatre in Asheville, NC. She has taught and choreographed for numerous dance schools around the country. Since 2007 Ms. Scott has spearheaded a fundraising effort, COME UNITY, which has raised funds largely through dance events to provide for third-world communities in need. www.comeunitynow.org
