Karilyn Surratt


Karilyn Surratt’s professional credits include 10 seasons as a Rockette at Radio City Music Hall and on tour, Joey McKneely’s West Side Story world tour (Consuelo & Anita/Rosalia understudy; Robbins choreography), and 16 productions at The Muny in her hometown of St. Louis, MO, including their most recent production of Oklahoma!. Her career has allowed her to work with choreographers such as Gemze de Lappe (Robbins’ The King and I and de Mille’s Oklahoma!), Susan Stroman (The Merry Widow), Ginger Thatcher, Kelli Barclay (Irving Berlin’s White Christmas), Mercedes Ellington and the late Robert L. Reed. She has assisted her mentors, international ballet pedagogues and choreographers Madame Gabriela Darvash and Kat Wildish, in some of their NYC classes. Karilyn graduated summa cum laude from Oklahoma City University with a BPA in dance performance and a focus on pedagogy and history. She is also a member of the performers unions AEA and SAG-AFTRA. This is Karilyn’s first season with Lustig Dance Theatre.
